What personal data we collect and why we collect it

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When You submit a form on our website (Newsletter Subscription or Contact Us Form) , apart form the details you submit, such as Name, Email Address and Message Content we also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to, again this is done to help spam detection.

If you have provided information by signing up to our Newsletter then you may form time to time receive emails with information relating to product releases, special offers and discounts, information relating to trading hours or any other information about our operations that we may deem pertinent to our clients.

Who we share your data with

Any information held specifically by Auto Attention, which you submitted to us during your interaction with our site, is not shared with any other parties. Your information will only be passed on to a third party if requested by you in order to assist your dealings with that third party e.g with your consent we may provide and invoice with your details to your Health Fund Provider or any state Government assistance provider that you nominate.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your data

Protecting your data is of up most importance to us and we have many security measures in place to prevent any data breaches. We constantly review our security to ensure that the measures are up to date and effective in protection your data.

Sensitive and financial information is not stored on devices within Auto Attention’s premises.  All companies which we contract to process sensitive financial information are all PCD DSS complaint with Australian standards in relation to data security.

What data breach procedures we have in place

In the event of a data breach we lock down any servers containing client information as soon as the breach is detected. Clients who may have been affected will be notified via the contact details provided on their account.
