A quality maintenance detail typically starts around $350, while multi-stage paint correction with a ceramic coating on a mid-size car generally lands between $1,500 and $3,500 depending on paint condition, colour and size. We quote every car individually after seeing it — nobody can honestly price paint correction sight unseen.
A maintenance detail is a half to full day. A correction and coating package is typically two to four days, because polishing is slow work and coatings need proper cure time before the car leaves us.
Yes. We service metropolitan Melbourne and only need access to power, a tap and an undercover area. If you can't provide that, bring the car to our Richmond workshop — paint correction and coatings are always better done in controlled lighting anyway.
A car wash removes dirt. Detailing removes defects. We're correcting the paint itself — swirl marks, etching, oxidation — and then protecting it. It's a fundamentally different process with a fundamentally different result.
Machine polishing removes any scratch that hasn't gone through the clear coat — which is most swirl marks and light scratches. If your fingernail catches in it, it's likely too deep to fully remove, though we can usually improve its appearance considerably.
