Between sizes? Go up. A slightly loose cover is far kinder to paint than a tight one. And always cover a clean car — grit trapped under a cover is what causes the scratches people wrongly blame on the cover itself.

Small suits hatchbacks and compact coupes up to about 4.4m. Medium covers most sedans, coupes and wagons up to about 4.9m. Large suits SUVs, utes and long sedans up to about 5.4m. If you're between sizes, go up — a cover that's slightly loose is far better than one that's tight.
They're designed primarily for indoor and undercover storage — garages, warehouses and carports. A soft-lined indoor cover left in the weather will hold moisture against the paint, which is the opposite of what you want.
Not if the car is clean when you cover it. The scratching people blame on covers is almost always grit trapped between the cover and dirty paint. Cover a clean car and the soft lining is entirely safe.
Yes, and it's a great combination. The coating protects chemically, the cover keeps dust and light contact off. Just make sure the car is clean and dry first.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, no fabric softener, and line dry. Don't tumble dry it — heat degrades the soft inner lining.

Wash and dry the car first — a cover pulled over grit grinds it straight into the paint, which is how covers get blamed for scratches they didn't cause. Fold the cover, start at the roof, then unroll forward and back so it sits centred before you tuck the hems under the bumpers. Fit the mirror pockets, then secure the underbody straps so wind can't lift it. Never cover a wet car, and never use an indoor cover outdoors.
